NOMAD FEST – USTA MURAS

I was honoured to be nominated by the Asia Pacific Craft Alliance to participate in the Nomad Cultural Program's International Contest for the Best Examples of Handicrafts and Decorative and Applied Arts at the 6th World Nomad Games.

The competition, known as Usta Muras, translates to "Master of Heritage" in the Kyrgyz language and celebrates excellence in traditional craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

I am delighted to share that I was awarded the Grand Prix Award, the highest honour in the competition. This recognition celebrates the preservation and innovation of traditional craft practices and highlights the importance of cultural exchange through the arts.

This was a wonderful opportunity to represent our region on an international stage while connecting with master artisans and cultural practitioners from Kyrgyzstan and around the world.
